WooSox OF Jhostynxon Garcia Selected to 2025 All-Star Futures Game Roster.

On MLB Network, the rosters for the 2025 MLB All-Star Futures Game were announced. WooSox outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia has been selected to play on the American League team.

Jhostynxon otherwise known as "The Password", is batting .292 with 9 HR & 23 RBI in 33 games for the WooSox since being promoted from Double-A Portland on May 20th. He also has a .363 OBP, .569 SLG, and .932 OPS while playing outstanding defense in the outfield (mainly in CF).

The 22-year-old from San Fernando de Apure, Venezuela, is already in his 5th professional season since the Red Sox signed him as an international free agent on July 2, 2019. He was added to Boston's 40-man roster this past off-season.

Garcia led all Red Sox minor leaguers with 23 HR last year during a fine offensive season split among three Red Sox affiliates. He played in 24 games foe Salem (A), 53 games foe Greenville (A+), and 20 games for Portland (AA) and batted a combined .286 with 24 2B, 23 HR, 666 RBI, and a .536 slugging pct.

The MLB All-Star Futures Game will be played on Saturday, July 12 at 4:00 pm at Truist Park in Atlanta and will be televised on MLB Network.
