Worcester- It's history in the making when Rivera Promotions Entertainment presents New England's Future 14 Saturday, November 18th at Worcester's historic Union Station.
Doors open at 6pm., with the first bout scheduled for 7.
This will be the first show ever at Union Station put on by the trio of former three-time world boxing champion Jose Antonio Rivera; his son A.J. Rivera; and his brother, Jose "Camachito" Rivera.

"This will be a very special night for Rivera Promotions Entertainment" Jose Antonio Rivera said, noting this will be RPE's first show since New England's Future 13 at American International College in Springfield in June. "It's always great being able to put on a show in our own backyard . Worcester is a sports town and boxing has deep roots here. Being able to display some of the great fighters from Worcester and across New England and beyond is a big thrill for us"
Beyond is right. Along with fighters representing Worcester, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Springfield are pugilists from Virginia, Brazil and Mexico.
The main event features Worcester's Irvin Gonzalez challenging Mexico's Rodolfo Hernandez Montoyo. Said Gonzalez: "This fight means more to me than other fights, even some of my bigger fights because I'm coming back from an injury. I told myself when it happened that I was done with the sport. To have my comeback fight in in my own city in front of my friends and family makes me work even harder in the gym."
Springfield's undefeated Laurent Humes has the co-main event on the night, squaring off against Brazilian-born Leonard Ladeira of Revere. Humes fought in New England's Future 13 in June, registering a fifth-round stoppage of Columbia's Luis Eduardo Florez.
"This fight means a lot to me" Humes said. "Just like every fight, I take it very seriously, because it's a steppingstone to bigger fights for me."
Fighting in Union Station, Humes continued, "is a new experience, which exicites me. And Worcester in itself has been good to me and not only in fighting."
Worcester has plenty of feel-good boxing stories, and one of them is definitely Jake Paradise, who has battled personal demons to make a name for himself in the squared circle.
Paradise will be to win his second in a row over Erick Matheus Alves, a native of Brazil who resides in Boston. Paradise scored a third-round TKO over Alves at NEF 13.
"Every fight means the world to me," said Paradise. "It's an honor to continue fighting for Rivera Promotions and grow with them as I grow."
Fighting at Union Station has added significance for Paradise, who passed out on drugs on a bench in front of the facility 10 years ago. Four years later, he took part in the first professional boxing show there.
"I'm 508 born and bred. I grew up in the heart of the city. I am this city," Paradise said. "We all fall down, but we always rise and keep fighting. It's an honor to be Worcester's underdog"
Other matches on the Nov. 18 card include Worcester's Eslih Owusu vs. Rhode Island's Alfred Raymond, Connecticut's Anthony Mora vs. Springfield's Ian Garcia, Carlos Gonzalez of Sprinfield vs. Brazil's Marcello Williams, and Connecticut's Oscar Bonilla taking on Virginia's Ryan Venable.
Tickets are available now at $60 General Admission, $100 Ringside & $125 VIP.
May be purchased from any of the fighters on the card.
